April was a month of breakthroughs, laughter, and some serious hashrate milestones. With 93% of Bitcoin’s hashrate now merged mining Fractal and infrastructure reaching new heights, we’re paving the way for what’s next.

April: Hashrates, Hashbrowns, and Hashing at Scale 🟠
💥 ~93% of Bitcoin's Hashrate Now on Fractal
Fractal’s merged mining efforts hit a new high in April, with Foundry — one of Bitcoin’s largest mining pools — officially merged mining Fractal. This pushed our merged mining hashrate past 730 EH/s, representing nearly 93% of Bitcoin’s total hashrate.
🥔 Mine Fractal with Potatoes: PotatoHash 3000™
April Fools’ Day brought the launch of PotatoHash 3000™ — an event where we imagined if potatoes can be used to mine Fractal. From memes to mayhem, the Fractal fam showed up strong.
⚙️ Indexer Upgrades for Better Speed, Scale, and Visibility
Fractal’s indexer underwent major improvements to support our growing transaction load. With over 10.7 million daily transactions, devs now have access to more efficient tools and deeper data via UniScan.

Say goodbye to multi-step transfers. Fractal now supports a single step brc-20 transfer protocol — making token transfers cheaper, faster, and easier.
🤝 brc-20 Upgrade Coordination
We’re working with protocol maintainers to streamline brc-20 development on Fractal. This coordination ensures compatibility and innovation move in sync.
📙 Opcodes Under Review
Following OP_CAT, new opcodes are being actively reviewed and refined to unlock more powerful Bitcoin-native primitives.
